Baby Athena was four weeks at the time of her session and she did so good. It makes me sad when I hear about other photographers turning away potential clients because newborns aren’t the “typical” age at the time of the session. Well, my session with sweet Athena couldn’t have gone more smoothly! We did several setups within a matter of an hour and she might have been even more settled than the newborns I do at the “typical” age which is between 7-16 days. After a bunch of newborn baby boy sessions, it was so nice to have a girl in the studio! Especially since I have so many new girl props that are just ready for a cute baby.

Athena looked stunning in all of the blue. The little bonnet and knit layer were both made by me. I am an avid knitter in my spare time and have made 90% of my knit prop collection.

How cute is this? Babies snuggling little-stuffed animals are a sure fire way to get my ovaries going.

This tie back was PERFECT for little Athena! It totally reminds me of something a little goddess would wear. It came from one of my absolute favorite prop vendors, Lela’s Props.
